Importers Committees

Another unique feature of the Importers is the dance committee.

For each dancing weekend, three or four people are assigned as the committee for that particular weekend. The committees are assigned months and even years ahead of time to allow for adequate preparation. In reality, any one person will serve on a committee about once every year and a half.

Dance committee responsibilities are:

Arrange for a dance hall.
Print and distribute flyers.
Arrange for the caller's transportation, lodging, and meals.
Make announcements at the dances.
Coordinate the hall clean up.
